Since 1923, Edward Barnsley Workshop has been crafting bespoke furniture with unparalleled skill and dedication. We were commissioned to create lifestyle, advertising, and marketing imagery that would capture the essence of this craftsmanship. Our goal was to showcase the meticulous artistry behind handmade furniture and highlight the exceptional quality that defines the Barnsley legacy.
It was not only a privilege but a truly inspiring experience to photograph these master craftsmen, deeply passionate about their work. The brief called for a visual journey, from the wood aging in seasoning sheds to its transformation through various stages of preparation and production. We were tasked with capturing the tools of the trade, the workshop’s rich history, and its picturesque setting in the Hampshire Downs.
To bring this story to life, we set up and photographed select pieces on location, as they would appear in the homes of their clients, allowing us to reflect both the functionality and beauty of the finished products.
